Saturday night
In the evening Elisabeth and I went to NYC by train. First we went to the top of the Rockefeller Center -- Top of the Rock -- where we had a spectacular view of the sparkling city. I can tell you guys, it was really awesome. We saw the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Brooklyn Bridge,…

Arrived on the ground in front of Rockefeller Center again, we met Elis’ ex-boyfriend, Schoko; later we also met a friend of his, Diego from Brazil, and together with them we we went to Club T --> http://www.nightclubvip.net/clubtemple.asp?gaw
Usually you can’t get in if you are not 21, but Elis and I were lucky : ) When the bouncer saw my ID, he thought that I was already 21 -- either because he only looked at the birth year which is 1985 or because he read my birth date, that is 7.10.1985, the American way, so that he thought that I already turned 21 on July 10 : ) Although they told Elis she couldn’t get in at first , they fortunately told her later they'd make an exception and so we could finally all get into the club (after half an hour waiting in front of the club…). Oh yeah, and it was also good that we didn’t have to pay anything. Well, actually, the guys had to pay, but ladies could get in without paying anything until midnight, I think. And then, from 10 - 11, drinks were free which was also just great. The music was so great -- they played a mix of R&B, reggae, merengue and salsa, and it was fantastic to dance again. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the AC was freezing cold, so that we felt really cold at first, but since we were dancing a lot, we soon (well, after 2 hours) got warmer.
I can’t believe that I was in a club in NYC and dancing till 3!!! That’s really like a dream, don’t you think? : )
After the club, we were sitting outside and chatting and then, about 4, we went into a diner which was open 24/7, by the way, where we had Western omelettes. Later, we could get ready for our way to the train station to get the first train that left at about 5.30. Since it was freezing cold for me and Elis (we had only skirts, summer shirts and flip flops on and just a tiny sweater), we decided to get a cab. And this ride driving down Times Square was another awesome experience!
Arrived at the train station, we still had to wait for our train to Tuckahoe, where we stayed at Elis‘ ex-boyfriend‘s. By that time, we were already tired and exhausted, but we managed in spite of that to get on the train. Actually, I wanted to sleep in the train, but 2 guys didn’t want to stop talking with us, so…….
Finally, at 7 in the morning we could go to bed…. 4 hours later I was already awake again, and at about 2 we had coffee with Schoko.
Sunday, August 13
After a stop at Dunkin Donuts’, Schoko drove us to Manhattan. From Battery Park, Elis and I went to the Statue of Liberty by ferry. It turned out to be a beautiful day, although we were still a bit tired from the night before. It was such a clear day that we had a perfect view to the skyscrapers of NYC, and we just enjoyed lying (and almost falling asleep : ) ) in the grass in front of the amazing statue. Afterward, we walked to Ground Zero and I can't really describe the feelings I had when I was there again. It's just so terrible what happened 5 years ago to so many innocent people.
We took a lot of pictures again and I hope that I can upload them soon…
Before I forgot, we are also on some pictures that were taken in the club, just check out
